Governmental Funding Sources

Although this directory focuses on private sources of funding, this section provides a place to start in the search for governmental funding. Some governmental agencies provide funding for a project indirectly through a community or state agency. Other agencies fund directly to supported projects. This section will provide access to some widely used governmental funding sources, but is by no means a thorough review of all governmental sources.
These sources are divided into federal and state listings with home pages listed in parentheses when available. First impressions of some agencies may not include cancer prevention as an area of funding interest, but many agencies are involved in this area. Information about specific and recent cancer prevention interests are also provided.
