1998 The Bridge Breast Center, Dallas. For assistance in providing screening and health-care services for low-income, uninsured or underinsured women at risk of breast cancer.

1995-98 Moody Gardens, Galveston to fund research to find cancer-fighting properties in medicinal plants.

1995 American Botanical Council, Austin to expand research and education project on the role of medicinal plants in today's health care.

1995 Texas Institute for Behavioral Medicine and Neurosciences, Houston for free counseling clinic for women with breast cancer that provides group therapy and training in behavioral medicine techniques.



Application Guidelines
Selection Criteria 95% of grants have been in the Galveston area, more specifically to the Foundation-initiated project -- Moody Gardens.

Application Procedure Foundation will send application guidelines if project is of interest. Application form not required. Initial contact by letter or telephone.

Key Dates 6 weeks prior to Board meetings. Board meets quarterly. Notification is 3 weeks later.
