Application Guidelines |
||
|
|
Selection Criteria |
Directors try to
give 33%-50% of grant funds to Dallas area applicants. The goal is that,
over time, each community in the state may benefit from a grant. If
possible, 50% of all grants are given to first time applicants.
Program-related investments are also considered as part of its grant
making activities.
Directors find special value in a proposal in which one or more of the following conditions are present: 1) support of the Foundation could be vital or catalytic to the project's success; 2) synergistic or networking opportunities are present which could multiply the impact of a grant; 3) potential exists for program/project impact lasting beyond the grant period; 4) the proposal involves innovative or efficient means to increase earned income or reduce expenses; 5) expenses are reduced by sharing resources with other agencies or groups; 6) the project is well-planned; and 7) the project promotes better human relationships and a sense of community. |
