Is the format of material appropriate for intended use?

The format--the physical nature of the pamplet or material--should be convenient to use and well suited for use by a Hispanic audience. For example, a discrete pamphlet intended to be carried around by women must be purse size. Cards intended to hang in the shower must be waterproof and durable. (Although excessively graphic shower cards on breast self exams are not likely to be displayed in Hispanic homes). The format also must be relevant to its purpose. It is therefore important to consider how the material will be used. Is it for clinical use in an office - or something that will be handed out in the grocery store? Will it accompany a presentation? These factors must be considered when choosing an appropriate format.

Poor formats are often awkward to use, would not be convenient to use, or do not fit into the lifestyle of the particular Hispanic audience. The format is not relevant to its purpose.
